About Burlington Cabinet Painting

Burlington Cabinet Painting works on cabinetry alone, names the material on every quote and says plainly when painting is not the right answer.

Book The Count

Thirty minutes in the kitchen settles the piece count, the substrate and the number.

A Cabinet Painting Company Built Around One Trade

Cabinet painting is the one trade this company works in. Kitchens, vanities, pantries, laundry rooms, mudrooms, built-in wall units and mantels are the whole list, which is why the equipment, the coatings and the working method are all set up for cabinetry rather than for walls and ceilings.

Burlington Cabinet Painting works across the whole city, from the lakefront streets of Roseland and Shoreacres up through Aldershot and Tyandaga to Brant Hills, Millcroft, the Orchard, Alton Village and out to Kilbride. The work is fully insured.

Cabinet Painting Is Organised So The Kitchen Keeps Functioning

Fronts leave the house and boxes stay in it. Doors and drawer fronts are numbered, photographed and racked on the first day, then sprayed in a filtered booth where dust, temperature and humidity are controlled in a way no occupied kitchen can manage.

Carcasses and face frames take their coats indoors behind sealed plastic, with floors, counters, appliances and doorways masked and extraction running. That split is what lets a household keep cooking through a cabinet painting job, with open shelves standing in for a week or so. It is also what makes the work possible in a condo, where nothing can be sprayed inside the unit at all.

Day one of a cabinet painting job is degreasing and labelling, and no colour goes on anything. Grease and old furniture wax are the reason painted cabinets peel more often than any other single cause, so that day is not one we shorten. The full sequence is set out on the kitchen cabinet painting page.

Every Quote Names The Material Before It Names A Price

A cabinet painting price with no substrate attached to it cannot be checked against anything. Oak needs a shellac stain blocker and a grain-fill decision, melamine and thermofoil need a bonding primer, previously painted MDF needs neither, and those choices change both the work and the cost.

So the quote records the doors, the drawer fronts, the boxes, what each surface is made of, what gets filled and plugged, how far the sanding goes, the primer by name, the topcoat, the sheen, how many coats and the total. Extras sit on their own lines, which normally means shelf interiors, crown moulding, supplied hardware and any replacement fronts. There are no hourly rates anywhere in it.

The full list of services covers what can be quoted together on one visit, which is almost always cheaper than booking rooms separately.

How We Work

  • One trade only

Cabinet painting is the one trade this company works in. The equipment, the coatings and the working method are all set up for cabinetry rather than for walls and ceilings.

  • Material before price

Every quote records what each surface is made of, what gets filled, the primer by name, the topcoat, the sheen and the coats. Extras sit on their own lines, and there are no hourly rates.

  • Honest about limits

A lifting thermofoil skin, a swollen particleboard box or a sanded-through veneer will not take paint well. That goes in writing at the visit, even when it means a smaller job or none at all.

  • A walk-through at the end

We walk the kitchen with the doors on, the hinges adjusted and the hardware fitted, and explain the cure schedule out loud. Touch-up product stays in the house, labelled with colour and sheen.
